In the transcendental philosophies, Emerson and Thorou, were real romantic writers of transcendentalist. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a news report called, Self Reliance and intelligibly demonstrated the strengths and weaknesses of transcendental philosophy as it is comp ared to society. While Thoreu also wrote a story called civil disobedience which also showed the strength and weaknesses of transcendentalism as it relates to society. Transcendentalist usually showed an escape from civilization and responsibility and ternion to a more simplistic life. Transcendentalist think that its not what you concord but about how dexterous you are with yourself and with the people rough you.
In the story Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson gives examples of strengths and weakness. One part of the story says, It is easy in the world to live after the worlds prospect; it is easy in solitude to live after our experience(Emerson365). This shows that Emerson is saying its how we view our lives, not what other people timbre at our lives as. Hes also saying that we contract to do what pull aheads us happy, not what the people around us happy. Another part of the story says, what I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think(Emerson365).



This shows that to be happy with you, you must think about you more. Doing what others think you should might make every mavin like you, but in the end you will trouble being a person your not and forgetting who you truly are deep inside.
