I recall making my lifes choice in the summer of 1967. It was a choice that would abruptly end the childhood of four vernal boys; myself and three best friends, and push us into a man of violence and abuse.

I recall the painful acts of evil and the journey of overcoming them in many pages I keep close to heart, but farthermost from my mind. I call them; SLEEPERS.

While it is normal in the course of growth up to have lapses in judgements, our errors always seemed to carry a deadly price. This became apparent in that summer when our harmless legerdemain ripped the future from one young mans family, and left an other(a) clinging to his life. To this day I have no idea why we make it, but we would all pay a price.

All we could do was inhabit for the consequences that our choices would unveil.

A young mans mind is molested, hounded until all he saw was a guards face, al he heard was a prison whistle, all he feared was to break an unknown rule. 12 gruelling months in a prison for boys. Each passing moment overflowing in a darkness that promised no rescue.
